FAQ

Sensing

Q: Does the All-out Irradiation Sensor need to be coupled with any kind of sun tracking system?
A: No. All-out Irradiation Sensor performs accurate measurements of global, direct, and diffuse irradiation in a completely self-standing mode. Optionally, you can couple it with our Wireless Docking Station, that enables a fully wireless data transmission and power supply. This means that you can easily set-up a distributed sensors network further improving the accuracy of measurements.

Q: Does the All-out Irradiation Sensor need to be re-calibrated?

A: Like any other measurement device, a periodic (ideally every 2 years) recalibration is recommended. Nevertheless, if your irradiation monitoring system features a set of multiple All-out Irradiation Sensors, their redundancy evens out minor measurement errors happening at single sensor level, thus virtually eliminating the need of re-calibrating.

Q: Does the 2Go Irradiation Sensor need to be coupled with any kind of sun tracking system?

A: No. 2Go Irradiation Sensor performs measurements of global, direct, and diffuse irradiation in a completely self-standing mode. Optionally, you can couple it with our Wireless Docking Station, that enables a fully wireless data transmission and power supply. This means that you can easily set-up a distributed sensors network further improving the accuracy of measurements.

Q: Does the 2Go Irradiation Sensor need to be re-calibrated?

A: Like any other measurement device, a periodic (ideally every 2 years) recalibration is recommended. Nevertheless, if your monitoring system features a set of multiple 2Go Irradiation Sensors, their redundancy evens out minor measurement errors happening at single sensor level, thus virtually eliminating the need of re-calibrating.

Tracking

Q: Does the Tracking Control Intelligence implement the control of a whole plant or of single trackers only?

A: Both. The Tracking Control Intelligence consists of two boards: the CCU (Central Control Unit), which implements a comprehensive plant management, and the TCU (Tracker Control Unit), designed to control the behaviour of single trackers.

The CCU and TCU can be purchased together or separately.
